Projects and Programmes

Jesse’s Foundation for Music and Dance Therapy works to subsidize the costs of existing music and dance therapy programs and to initiate new ones outside Toronto. Projects include:

• Jesse’s Sound Potential (JSP) is a subsidized music therapy program for children with identified needs and their siblings offered in home communities. Marking its 3rd year in Brampton, in autumn 2007 JSP launched in Mississauga. JSP is now enrolling in Kitchener-Waterloo. (Download a PDF brochure.)

• Jesse’s Sensory Garden™ celebrates the music and dance of nature. Located aside the Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness in Bolton the garden's unique design includes elements to stimulate all 5 senses with accessibility for all ages and most abilities – i.e. friendly to wheelchairs, braille signage. Future plans: an outdoor platform for music and dance therapy in the fresh air!

• Jesse’s Scissors-in-Motion. Bringing music therapy to critically ill children by benefiting Toronto's Sick Children's Hospital Foundation in support of the Music Therapy in Palliative Care Program (terminally ill children). Thank you to our sponsors and supporters.
